Christmas Day 2009

We had a great Christmas this year. The boys both got DS's which has been heaven sent over the christmas break :) Mason really wanted a Guinea Pig this year which I really really did not want him to get but I guess he was better than me this year because Santa brought him one (He is actually kind of cute..for a rodent) I thought he would be so excited and couldn't wait til he saw it but he got more excited over the huge jar of peanut butter he asked for :) I know sad huh my kids have to ask for food for Christmas.

After we opened our presents we went to Grandma Averett's for scones (my favorite tradition!). We came home took naps and went back to my mom's for a yummy Christmas dinner and a few more presents. We exchange names every year but this year a couple people thought they would be really funny and play jokes. Jake wanted to make presents for each other but ended up being the only one to make his present to Tierney. He was actually pretty cute!

Jerrid (my brother in law) had my name which is funny anyway because we are famous for always arguing (all in fun of course :)). So, I open my present and it is an AWFUL looking peacock shirt. It was ugly but not ugly enough for me to know it was a joke for sure. I really thought I was going to have to eventually wear the shirt but when everyone wanted me to try it on I was on to them :) I did get my real present that I love!!

Haha so funny. I am glad we captured that on video. And excuse me?? I made my present too! Jake did such a good job on that though, I was thoroughly impressed. Can't wait till he draws my name. We'll make presents again that year too ;)
