Valentines & 100 days!

Mason had to decorate a Valentines box this year. Of course it had to be a certain theme. Let's not make it nice and simple folks! The Kindergarten theme was nursery rhymes. (Do people even read nursery rhymes anymore?) well whatever we didn't win (not that I was planning on it :)) and Parker just thought is was completely unfair that Mason didn't win!!

I have noticed they celebrate EVERYTHING in Kindergarten even the 100th day of Kindergarten where they had to wear 100 things on their shirt.

(disclaimer...no I do not dress my kids in shorts in February. This pic was taken the first day of school :))
but, lately he has tried every trick in the book NOT to go to school. He has tried the "sick thing" but today he out did himself. He faked being asleep til 11am! with no cartoons on! He even stayed "asleep" while I got him dressed and combed his hair. It ended with him screaming his head off all the way to school. sigh. I love preschool days. I just don't get it. I have Mason bugging me all morning to go to school and Parker starts complaining about school the night before!

The Man Flu

We were all sick last week. Well, everyone but Mason. Jake however, got it worse than anyone he had the man flu...

man flu- The condition shared by all males wherein a common illness (usually a mild cold) is presented by the patient as life-threatening.

Man Flu -A rare strain of flu so powerful and so deadly it can only be matched by the Bubonic Plague and Aids. A incurable virus which has adapted to only effect the "XY" gene found in men. The virus attacks the immune system 10,000 times harder than the average flu virus, causing excruciating pain for the victim. Man Flu has no cure and prayers can save the forsaken life of the infected. The often deadly virus is mostly laughed at by women who sadly cannot contract "Man Flu"
